After the dust settled about the whole being pregnant thing I decided one thing that was going to be really important was making sure I kept some kind of record of the whole thing. Of course I’m doing my own week-by-week series of my growing bump but I really wanted to have some photos done properly and I’ve been a big fan of some black & white portraits I’ve seen from another blogger, Joanna Rees, here in Taiwan. So I asked if she would be willing to photograph me throughout the pregnancy and she agreed.
The photos included are a few of my favorites from our first session (at 16 weeks pregnant). Joanna will be posting some (maybe all?) on her website as well. If you’re lucky enough to have either of us on facebook you can see all of them in Joanna’s photo sets.
Joanna and I have been communicating back and forth for quite awhile via the net over our 4 years living here but this was our first face to face meeting. We decided to go out and take photos at the Taiwan Pride parade before shooting our session. It was a wonderful day and it was a great oppurtunity to find out that Joanna is just as graceful, intelligent and inspiring in person.
